It goes without saying that cars were a great invention in the 20th century. As it universalize, the distance between people and people become shorter. We can no longer visit our friends on foot or by house carriage like the ancient people and just need to drive the car that can reach the destination easily. However, when we enjoy the benefits from cars, it also brings many disadvantages to people at the same time.
The most serious problem is the destruction of environment. According to the investigation, there was almost one car per family in the late 20th century. The cars discharge the emissions and CO2 causing the air pollution and Global Warming. The methane in the emissions is the major factor of air pollution, and people who breathe the air could have serious health problem, especially the respiratory illnesses. The statistics from the weather monitoring experts, which pointed the temperature rose 0.6 centigrade in last century. Besides the emissions from industry, the biggest cause is the CO2 from cars. As more and more cars that people purchase, the situation of Global Warming will get worse.
Another serious problem is the shortage of resource. The cars need oil to provide the motive power, so each governs or private corporations are dedicating to extract the crude oil. Some experts said that the whole crude oil on the earth will be run out in sixty years. Due to this situation, we should find some substituted energy to replace the oil, if not, people may fight for it.
Owning a car is not a bad thing, but the problems derive from it is worth for us to discuss. How to make it bring the full play is the most important subject, thus and so, we will have a rosy future.
