  The final exam is coming, and the fist year of my college life is nearly ended. Time flies so fast beyond my imagination. I even can’t believe that I have already lived in this warm city for almost a year. After the two semesters, I asked myself what I have learned through these days. Fortunately, I come up with several things. It means that, unlike many loafers, I learned a lot from the past days. First, I spent more time on studying than before. This made me build the strong basic of many courses. I also did some good jobs on some objects. Second, I participated in many different kinds of activities. It made me gain more and more experience and know how to communicate with different people. Besides, it also made me learn how to make a good time management, which is really important to the college students. Most of all, though I was occupied with a lot of things every day, the sense of achievement after dealing with all the challenges is so wonderful! I really enjoy it! I believe that I will keep going on, and made my life be colorful!

Why students should go to school every day? Because the duty of students is learning the knowledge, so when people were about certain age they would need to be educated. Our parents, teachers and even our country all have the great expectation on us, so we should go to school and study hard.

Firstly, instead of skipping the classes, going to school every day can learn more. In class, teachers probably ask us do the practice or read the lessons. Someone said that some curriculums are not necessary to us, but at least we can know the essence of the class and know what it talks about, which even no use for us. On the contrary, we go to school read the textbooks and school books that we may not study when we at home. Most people have sloth and laziness mind so they will choose sleeping or playing games instead of learning. In the come-and-go, they will be scanty of lots of knowledge compare to those who go to school every day.

  Hong-Chin Kuo and Chien-Ming Wang are both baseball players in MLB, and both of them play well. Although they are good Taiwanese players, it still has many differences between them. Unlike Wang, Kuo is a relief pitcher that must stand by every day. Except the role they play in the team, the two main differences between these two pitchers are their pitching style and fortune. Kuo is a relief pitcher that he should prepare well on the go. He also has to show his supremacy to frustrate the enemies; in the contrast, Wang is a starting pitcher, what he has to do is keep calm and dispassionate. He also needs to allocate his pitching speed that he won’t exhaust. In point of the types of pitches, Kuo’s master-stroke to cope with the hitter are speed fastball and slider, yet Wang’s adept strategy is sinker, each of them has specialized skills. The fortune of them was also different. Kuo spread out his talent and ability in the senior high, but Wang performed average until he graduated from senior high. Both of them have ever been hurt, whereas Kuo suffered more pain than Wang. Until now, Kuo has had operation for five times in the Major League. No matter how the frustration and disappointment strike them, I hope that they can overcome the difficulties and continue to bring many wonderfully games to us.

In addition to the enough nutrition and abundant water, exercising is another indispensible essential for providing the energy to human body. Exercising can not only promotes the metabolism of body and emits the discards, but fit the type of build. However, people should exercise in an appropriate amount of degree, if surfeit, it may cause temporary or permanent harm to body. In a word, we are hard to pursue a healthy life without exercising.

The most obvious example is to compare fat people with skinny people. Most fat people seldom exercise so the “fat” which accumulated in their body day after day. In contrast, most skinny people often exercise so they can get the figure they want. According to the research of United Kingdom, the researchers said that if a person exercising at least three times a week, the life expectancy would extend for seven years.

  Rusell was my junior high school classmates, and he was really an intelligent and nice person. He has ever been my best friend, but now, something change and become different. At the first sight I saw Rusell, I thought that he was a cool guy. He didn’t like to talk or smile, and just sit there with himself. Someday, I bumped into the one who had bad reputation, and he threatened me to give him money. I was really scared at the time. Rusell appeared in time. He doubly treated back to the bad guy who had ever treated me. From then on, we became the best partner. We played together and also did many things to memorize. He accompanied the wonderful time after with me in the junior high, but he suddenly disappeared after the graduating ceremony. I lost his connection and no one knew where he was then. When everyone was worried about his peace or chaos, he suddenly appeared second time again.

    Unlike the last time he saved me, he became aggressive and grumpy. All he thought about was fight and money. His extreme behavior really made everyone couldn’t tolerate what he did. In contrast, his kind heart has just been gobbled up by the devil. He was not the angel Rusell anymore. Nobody knew how he changed himself, and what I wished just we could go back to the memorable days and make something meaningful.

It goes without saying that cars were a great invention in the 20th century. As it universalize, the distance between people and people become shorter. We can no longer visit our friends on foot or by house carriage like the ancient people and just need to drive the car that can reach the destination easily. However, when we enjoy the benefits from cars, it also brings many disadvantages to people at the same time.

The most serious problem is the destruction of environment. According to the investigation, there was almost one car per family in the late 20th century. The cars discharge the emissions and CO2 causing the air pollution and Global Warming. The methane in the emissions is the major factor of air pollution, and people who breathe the air could have serious health problem, especially the respiratory illnesses. The statistics from the weather monitoring experts, which pointed the temperature rose 0.6 centigrade in last century. Besides the emissions from industry, the biggest cause is the CO2 from cars. As more and more cars that people purchase, the situation of Global Warming will get worse.

Cell phones have recently become an asset to society. Because of this, many of the negatives to cell phone ownership have been overlooked. In recent years, the industry of cell phone has become more prosperous. Due to the tendency, more and more people own the cell phones but also cause many problems and issues.

In the street, everyone takes a smarty phone. The boundless functions of the smarty phone can help people do many things. People use it to surf the Net, playing games or reading the e-books… They just need to move their finder and click, it will yield the benefits. However, when the use of cell phones becomes more frequent day after day, it also brings some harmful drawback to people.

Actually, after watching the movie, Revolutionary Road, I was a bit upset. The story is about a married couple. Both of them are looking forward to living a noble and perfect life and they had a sudden impulse to decide to move to Paristo fulfill the husband’s dream. As soon as they began to spread this news to their neighbors and finish package everything, both of them are facing new challenges: the man had a chance to be promoted and the wife is pregnant. While the man insists on having a baby, the woman decides to have an abortion by herself. They blaze with anger and finally decide to live in their hometown as usual. In the end, after the woman has an abortion, she died of excessive bleeding. Unlike the Chinese translation “真愛旅程,” this movie is totally not about a love story but a tragedy which caused by an unsuitable couple. I have learned some lessons about the way to deal with marital difficulties which is that you have to trust each other no matter what happens and always communicate when misunderstandings happens.

After seeing the movie, Precious, I wrote down nothing on my notebook but only a sentence," Everything is a gift of the universe."

   The movie is about the story of a girl struggling for living. The main character, Precious, was abused emotionally and physically by her mother, and she was pregnant the second time by her father. Unlike her name, she was not cherished by others, and it seems like that she was abandoned by all people and the whole society. Under her huge body, she has a fragile, tender, and broken heart. After her pregnancy and her leaving of the original school, she met the most important person in her life, Mrs. Rain, who helped Precious out from a dark and hopeless place. Mrs. Rain is a patient and kind teacher; she not only taught Precious how to read and write but also taught her how to speak through her words. She used this way to cure Precious of her broken heart. Because of her own tragic past, after she gave the birth to her second child, she made up her mind that she would give her child her whole love. So she refuse the suggestion of adoption, she bought her child home. After escaping from her horrible mother, she lived in Mrs. Rain’s house and had a happy Christmas that she never had. In the end of the movie, Mrs. Rain told Precious that she had to be stronger for your kids and for yourself.

This Friday, after the oral training class, I went to a village with my friend. The village is located in front of the 鹿耳門天后宮 and it is near the coast. Most houses in the village are antiquated. Only a few people live there and most of them are elders. As soon as I walked into the village, I saw several cats.  They gathered in front of a house and the owner of the house was sweeping the fallen leaves between cats. The owner is a grandmother who greeted us with a big, gracious smile. And she asked us whether we came to see cats or not and told us something about cats. There were about seven or eight cats. Then I started to take pictures of cats and play with them. After a while, a woman came to us with the same beautiful smile as the grandmother. She invited us into their home and chatted with me. In their house, there are a cat mother and three kittens which are just born for two months. So tiny and cute! She told me that she’s the daughter of the grandmother and her mother is already 90 years old. She also said that they take care of all the cats here by themselves. After chatting, she knew that I really love cats, too. She asked me if I was willing to feed the cats with her. I was so glad to help her and spent a good time with her and those cute cats. She fed them and introduced each cat to me at the same time. In her and her grandmother’s eyes, I can see their selfless love toward cats. For those stray cats, here is the shelter which is safe and full of love--- a xanadu for cats.
